Crowley ~ Cecil Barnard, 80, a retired machinist, went to be with our Lord Sunday, June 22, 2014 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery #1. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pastor Rick Davis will officiate. Pallbearers include Michael Martin, Tommy Lambert, Bill Barnard, Randy Martin, David Lambert and Bob Barnard.
Cecil was born on May 21, 1934 to Willie and Bessie (George) Barnard in Angleton, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Barnard.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sisters, Billie Lambert of Boyd and Dorothy Martin of Boyd; his brother, Johnny Barnard and wife Doris of Decatur; his sister in law, Georgia Barnard of Blue Mound; his friend, Evelyn Martin of Springtown; other family members and a host of friends.
