Alvord ~ Charles Lee Brown, 83, a superintendent, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Decatur.
Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Alvord.
Charles was born on April 16, 1932 to M.L. “Buster” and Alseone (Rowe) Brown in Decatur, Texas. He united in marriage to Juanita Rosenburg on December 25, 1952 in Decatur, Texas. He enlisted in the U.S. Army February 10, 1949 and served his country in the Korean conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years, Juanita Brown; his son, Mickey Brown; his granddaughter, Tiffini Nivens.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Carla Polk and husband Mickey of Bowie, and Bonnie Foreman and husband Larry of Alvord; his son, Ricky Nivens of Alvord; 6 grandchildren, Cristy Gilbert and husband Chase, Nichi Stanley, Heath Roberts, Chas Foreman and wife Andra, Chason Jackson and husband Clay, and Chance Foreman and wife Sarah; 7 great grandchildren; his sisters, Elaine Mercer of Bridgeport, and Joyce Kuykendall and husband Gene of Grand Prairie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
