Justin: Charles Joseph Butterick, 55, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2009 in Denton.
Mass of Christian Burial service is 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with Father Sojan George officiating. Family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. prior to the service.
Charles was born June 27, 1953, in Greenville, Mississippi to Orin Daniel and Mary Jeanette (Kimble) Butterick, Jr. He married Karri Ann Bush on June 4, 1981 in Indianapolis, Indiana
Charles was a chemist/scientist for Poco Graphite, Inc. in Decatur for six (6) years. He was past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and he taught Bible and Catholic Continuing Education classes.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 28 years, Karri Ann Butterick of Justin; son, Samuel Butterick of Germany, Thomas Butterick of Afghanistan; daughter, Jenny Butterick of Justin; brothers, Chris, Jack, Mike, Tom, and Robert Butterick; sister, Mary Mackin; and several nephews.
