Charles Franklin "Charlie" Wolfe

Boyd ~ Charles Franklin “Charlie” Wolfe, Jr., 88, a retired mechanic, went to be with our Lord Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2 PM Tuesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church #2 with burial in Pleasant Grove #2 Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Charles was born on April 1, 1933 to Charles Franklin and Ida Viola (Vess) Wolfe in Boyd. He was united in marriage to Henry Jeanne Anderson on March 7, 1953 in Weatherford. Charles proudly served our country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jon Wolfe; 5 sisters, Eunice Rae Wolfe, Velma Ruth Gaston, Dorothy Mae Atchison, Gladys Marie Keene, and Mildred Fern Hinkle.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Henry Jeanne Wolfe of Boyd; his son, Steve Wolfe and wife Sarah of Boyd; his daughter, Noelle Holmes and husband Rodney of Boyd; his grandchild, Chris; 2 great-grandchildren, Lane and Dakota; his brother, George Wolfe of Boyd; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
