Charles Calvin Knowles

Paradise ~ Charles Calvin Knowles, 80, a retired computer programmer, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Bridgeport with burial 10;15 am Friday in DFW National Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rev. Allen Bates will officiate.  Pallbearers include Austin Hicks, Collin Hicks, James Hearon, Gabriel Davis, Brett Oberkrom, David Tuchman, Andrew Tuchman and Matt Minix.

Charles was born September 23, 1938 to Raleigh and Vyola (Howard) Knowles in Fort Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Joann Marie Hobbs on February 7, 1969 in Fort Worth, Texas.  Charles was a member of Victory Family Church in Decatur.  He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Sue Murphy.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Joann Knowles of Paradise; his daughters, Margaret Knowles-Tuchman and husband Michael, Jennifer Hicks and husband Timothy, and Rebecca Davis and husband Glen; his grandchildren, David and Andrew Tuchman, Austin Hicks and wife Courtney, Katy Hearon and husband James, Collin Hicks, Faith Hicks, and Hannah and Gabriel Davis; his great-grandchildren, Weston and Lily Hicks; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
