Charles Herman Nelson

Haslet ~ Charles Herman Nelson, 74, a diesel specialist, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 19, 2018 in Decatur.

Charles was born August 9, 1943 to Ray and Gracie (Davis) Nelson in Barltesville, Oklahoma.  He was united in marriage on November 1, 1968 to Darlene Beatrice Vogt in Irving.  Charles was a graduate of Oklahoma Tech, a member of the Rhome Church of Christ, and the Harley Davidson Owners Group.  He proudly served our country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his granddaughter, Emily Hopper.

Those left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Darlene Nelson of Haslet; his daughters, Donna Hopper of Justin and Carol Nelson of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Chris, Andrew, Bryan, Kolten, Dee, and Maddie; his great grandchild, Carson Hopper; his sister, Sue Prowers of Leander; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
