Charles Lee Ross

Decatur ~ Charles Lee Ross, 69, went to be with our Lord Monday, February 13, 2023.

Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Paul Milligan will officiate. Pallbearers include Charles Jonathan Ross, Jr., Eric Devon Ross, Tom Talamantez, Jr., Marcus Talamantez, Abel Talamantez, Jr., Phillip Joseph Rosas, Troy Wolf, and Francisco Amador, Sr. Honorary Pallbearers include Austin Bowles, and Monty Smith.

Charles was born April 14, 1953 to Roy Ross, Jr. and Laura Frances Walker in Decatur, Texas.

He was united in marriage October 14, 1978 to Anita Talamantez in Decatur, Texas. He was a retired crew foreman, after many years with Oncor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Ross, Jr.; his mother, Laura Walker; and a sister, Jonnie Walker.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of over 44 years, Anita Ross of Decatur; his sons, Eric Ross and wife Connie, and Charles Jonathan Ross and Sarah; daughter, Lori Rosas and husband Phillip; 10 grandchildren; his sister, Ruth Walker, and brother, Jerry Ross and wife Heidi; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.

Donations can be made in Charles name to Wise Committee on Aging, Decatur Lions Club, and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
