Charles "Charlie" Cornett

Charles “Charlie” Cornett, 83, went to be with his Lord Monday, June 10th, 2024.

Graveside Service is 10:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery.

Charlie was born December 19th, 1940 to Ernest Reid and Louise (Pattisall) Cornett in Rural Retreat, Virginia. He was united in marriage September of 1960 to Myra Tilson in District Heights, Maryland. Charlie was a retired (but not really) Missionary, most of his life giving and caring for others. He was a member of Denton Bible Church, donations can be made to them in Charlie’s name at 2300 E. University Dr. Denton, Texas 76209. Charlie proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a beloved, father, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Louise Cornett; his beloved wife of 60 years, Myra Cornett.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Beth Calhoun; his son, Chuck Cornett; his brothers, Bill Cornett and Bob Cornett; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
