Bowie ~ Charlie "Nick" Nicholson, 81, a truck driver, went to be with our Lord Friday, December 23, 2011 at his home.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Crafton Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Bro. Gerald Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers are John Williams, Jason Williams, James Fox, Joe Fox, Charles Simmons, and Danny Jones.
Charlie was born on May 9, 1930 to Charles and Stella (Butcher) Nicholson in Dallas, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Charlie was united in marriage to Sally Williams on November 11, 1972 in Irving, Texas. He was employed with Road Way Express and a member of Crafton Church of Christ.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and his step brother, Bob Rhinefelt.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Sally Nicholson of Crafton; his sons, Robert Nicholson and wife Debra of Oak Cliff, Charles Edward Nicholson of Irving, and Ricky Glenn Nicholson of Houston; his daughters, Cathy Fox of Cedar Hill and Nancy Nicholson of Irving; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his sister, Bertha Shaddox and husband Earl Joe of Winona; his step brother, Don Rhinefelt and wife Pat of DeSoto; his step sister, Catherine Taylor and husband Robert of Irving; other family members and a host of friends.
