Bridgeport~ Charlie O’dell, 70, a retired contract welder, went to be with our Lord Monday, April 7, 2014 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate.
Charlie was born on June 18, 1943 to Lonnie and Sally (Early) O’dell in Bridgeport, Texas. He was united in marriage to Karla Green on October 10, 1962 in Bridgeport. Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karla O’dell; his brothers, Melvin, and Jim O’dell; his sisters, Bertha Plowman, Lonnie O’dell and Dorothy Cox.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Eric O’dell of Bridgeport; his sisters, Annie Ryan of Boyd, Opal Phillips of Bridgeport, and Ruby Bennett of New Mexico; other family members and a host of friends.
