Cheryl was born on December 14, 1956 to Bob and Carol (Eubanks) Jennings in Bastrop, Louisiana. She was united in marriage to Billy Wayne Hickman in Bastrop, Louisiana.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, John Gray of Bastrop, Louisiana, and Brad McLeland and wife Brandi of Springtown; 4 grandchildren, Kaytlin McLeland, Holden McLeland, Eli Gray, and Emma Gray; her siblings, Paula Anders of Bastrop, Louisiana, Penny Sharp of Bastrop, Louisiana, Bobby Jennings of Bastrop, Louisiana, Michael Jennings of Bastrop, Louisiana, Kelli Young of Bastrop, Louisiana, and Randy Jennings of Houston; other relatives and a host of friends.
