Decatur: Chloe McCarroll, 95, of Decatur, went to be with our Lord on Friday, January 15, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday, January 18th at First United Methodist Church with Reverends Roy Spore and Johnny Irish officiating. Burial will follow service in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Chloe was born October 17, 1914 in San Angelo, Texas to Marion Joseph and Kate McDonald. She married Manuel Ray McCarroll on August 30, 1939, in Iowa Park, Texas. Chloe graduated from North Texas University and retired after 31 years of teaching in Slidell ISD and Decatur ISD.
Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Dana Kay McCarroll of Decatur, Patty Jo Horan and husband, Ralph of Dallas; grandchildren, Joe Mac Rayburn, Katie Rayburn Wolfe, Heather Horan Boswell and Madison Horan; great grandchildren, Logan Cole Rayburn, Preslie Boswell, and Abby Gentry.
