Bridgeport: Christina Nichole Fitzgerald-Grothe, 24, went to be with our Lord on Monday, May 25, 2009 in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28th at Willow Point Cemetery with Monty Tuttle officiating. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Central Fellowship Church in Decatur. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home
Christina was born January 25, 1985 in Bridgeport, Texas to Adam Fitzgerald and Sharon Gilmer Grothe. She attended Bridgeport High School and was a member of Central Fellowship Church. Christina loved "Tinkerbell", shopping and cell phones.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Dustin Brooks and his adopted parents, Robby and Dana Brooks; mother, Sharon Grothe and husband, Jimmy of Cottondale; father, Adam Fitzgerald and wife, Lorena of Azle; grandmothers, Dell Keith, Joyce Fitzgerald, JoAnne Parker, Gloria Shephard; grandfather, Pat Keith and wife, Pam; brothers, Michael and Robby Grothe and Adam Fitzgerald; sisters, Montana and Sierra Duvall, Amanda Fitzgerald, and Amber Richards; Momma Janice and husband, Harley Holbert; aunt, Linda Gitlin; and adopted parents, Marty Mengal and wife, Susan.
