Christina Schaefer

Bridgeport ~ Regina Christina Schaefer, 94, a retired office manager went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in Bridgeport.
Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Wilson Prairie Cemetery in Paradise. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Christina was born September 16, 1925 to John Thomas and Sadie Rae (Jacobs) Schatz in Scott City, Missouri. She was a homemaker and cherished spending time with friends and family. Christina enjoyed reading, researching genealogy, camping and traveling the country in her RV. She was a member of the Carpenter Street Church of Christ and the Friendship RV Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Thomas Kelly; her second husband, Edward Schaefer; her son, Corey Schaefer; her daughters, Judith Saul and Carol Thornton; her grandchild, Ed Schaefer; her great-grandchild, Scott Moore; her brother, Grover Schatz; and her sister, Wanda Miller.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her son, Thomas Kelly of Bridgeport; her daughter, Peggy Schaefer of Bridgeport; her son, Edward (Kip) Schaefer and wife Christine of California; her daughter, Kathy Lessard and husband Tom of California; 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grand-children; her sister, Beverly Lutz and husband Robert (Bob) of Florida; many extended family members and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers the family ask if you are so inclined to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in Christina’s honor.
