Boyd ~ Christopher Ray Vardy, a loving husband & dad, who was like family to so many, passed away at the age of 49, Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Ft.Worth, Texas.
Memorial Service (live streamed due to Covid at: fumcfw.org/live) is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Ft.Worth. Casey Langley will officiate.
Chris was born September 25, 1971 to James and Mary Lou (Earl) Vardy in Lubbock, Texas. He and Tamara Neff met at Texas Tech University and began their love for life and for each other and were married on June 18, 1994. The two did everything together from volunteering in the Youth Group, to watching Tech events, to their favorite activity…supporting their boys in every way imaginable. Chris graduated from Frenship High School and received his Bachelor of Business Degree from Texas Tech. Chris was Contract Administrator for the F-16 project at InterConnect Wiring. He was a long-time member and volunteer of the First United Methodist Church of Ft.Worth. Chris had a smile that could warm your heart, a presence that would make everyone feel welcome, and a laugh that was simply contagious.
He was preceded in death by his sister whom he considered his baby, Leslea Underwood.
Family that are blessed to share his life are his wife of 26 years, Tamara “Tami” Vardy of Boyd; his sons, Brendan Earl Vardy of Boyd, and Christopher Neff Vardy of Boyd; his parents, James and Mary Lou Vardy of Wolfforth; his sister, Louanne Addington and husband Charles II of Wolfforth; his brother, Rob Vardy of Virginia; his father-in-law, Roy Neff of Burleson, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family & “framily” members and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, Chris would like to provide our youth the opportunity to attend mission trips and serve others. Please donate to the Youth Ministry Fund at fumcftw.org/give/
