Christopher "Chris" Michael Tidwell

Sunset- Christopher "Chris" Michael Tidwell, 47, went to be with our Lord Sunday, September 11, 2022.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday September 16, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with Interment to follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Sunset. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Woods, Parris Martin, Randy Tidwell Jr., Steve Martin, Tye Foster and James White.

Christopher was born December 31, 1974 to Randy Tidwell and Debbie (Slimp) Denney in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage on November 17, 2007 to Michelle (Blaylock) Tidwell in Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated from Chico High School and worked as a blaster at several rock crusher locations for Orica. Christopher was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend to many who will miss him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Randy Tidwell Sr., his step-father, Harold Denney; his grandfather, James Slimp; his grandfather, Billy Tidwell; his grandparents, J.D. and Helen Clark.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 15 years, Michelle Tidwell; his daughter, Isabelle Tidwell; his mother, Debbie Denney; his grandmother, Raylene Slimp; his sister, Kelly Martin and husband Parris; his brothers; Randy Tidwell Jr., and Steve Martin and wife Scarlette; his step-brothers, Rickey Denney and wife Michelle and Stan Denney; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many extended family and a host of good friends.
