Bridgeport ~ Chuck Mitchell, 50, a correctional officer, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Rev. Melvin Castleberry will officiate. Pallbearers are Reid Bridwell, Danny Gragg, Zack Glosler, Joey Louvat, and Danny Brigence.
Chuck was born on March 24, 1960 to Lee Roy and Jimmie (Derting) Mitchell in Dallas. He married Judy Gosler on May 24, 1994 in Decatur. Chuck worked as a correctional officer at GEO and his hobby was matchstick artwork.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy Gosler Mitchell of Bridgeport; his son, Brad Grantham and wife Apple of California; his daughter, Shea Gomez and boyfriend Coy McIlroy; his grandson, Caleb Gomez; his granddaughter, Ashley Gomez; his sisters, Becky Hobbs and husband Brian of Chickoshee, Cynthia Alling of New Mexico; his brother, Gary Alling of Las Vegas, Nevada; his brother in law, Zack Gosler of Fort Worth; other relatives and a host of friends.
