BRIDGEPORT -- Clara Belle Brown Canova, 86 a retired nutritional supervisor for Bridgeport Hospital, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial: West Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 6-7:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. Johnny Irish will officiate, assisted by Diane Oswald and Rev. Dana Coker.
Clara was born on February 6, 1922, the daughter of Hubert Earl and Minnie Helen (Nall) Brown in Paradise.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Angelo Canova; her son, Duane Canova; her great grandson, Nate; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: daughters, JoAnn Walker and husband Monte of Wichita Falls, Brenda Kennedy and husband Gaylord of Bridgeport; sons, Eugene Canova and wife Janet of Bridgeport, Kenneth Canova of Dallas; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren;4 great great grandchildren; sisters, LaVivian Meyers of Fort Worth, Naida Robinson of Decatur, Dean Whatley of Boyd, Jean Holt of Fort Worth; brother, James Brown of Fort Worth; numerous neices and nephews. Memorials: First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport or First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport.
