Decatur: Clara Doyle, 101, went to be with our Lord Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25th at Eagle Drive Baptist Church with Pastors David Isbell and Don Spain officiating. Interment will follow service in Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers include Melton Neighbors, Jordon Johnson, Jimmy Gillum, Clyde Spain, Gary Bible and Kenny Bryan.
Clara was born December 25, 1908 in Bowie, Texas to William and Matilda Hatchel. She married Joe Bailey Doyle on February 14, 1932 in Slidell, Texas.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Marie Neighbors of Decatur; grandson, Jerry Neighbors and wife, Janie of Valley View; three great grandchildren, Tami Blythe, Heather Whited and Andrew Neighbors; five great grandchildren, Layni and Zane Blythe, Colton, Coy and Chaynie Whited; and several nieces and nephews.
Clara is preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Albert Marvin and Melvin Hachtel; and sisters, Flora Branch and Vivian Montgomery.
