Decatur: Claude Ramsey, Jr., 82, a life-long resident of Texas and a businessman went to be with our Lord, Sunday, January 22, 2012 in Decatur.

Claude was born August 8, 1929 in Midland, Texas to Claude and Tereasa (McQuatters) Ramsey, Sr. After completing school, he proudly volunteered to serve in the United States Navy during the Korean War, where he spent most of his service time in the Sea of Japan.
After returning home, Claude was united in marriage to Sandra Cope in April, 1955 in Big Lake, Texas, and they had three children, Wes, Ralph and Lisa. Claude owned and operated construction and mechanical contracting businesses throughout his life. He and Sandra lived in Midland, Kingsland, Georgetown and Decatur. In 1995 he retired to care for his wife until her death in 2000. In 2006 he relocated to Decatur to be close to his family.
Claude could accomplish anything he set his mind to do and he demonstrated that many times. His relationship with his Lord was very evident in his life and his passing was with peace, dignity and grace and was with anticipation of being in his Lord Jesus' Kingdom.
Left behind to cherish his memory are two sons; Wes Ramsey and Ralph Ramsey; daughter, Lisa Doughty; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Frillie and husband, Leon; life-long friends, Bob and Lurlene Evans; loving friends, Mike and Karen Dubberly; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
