Cleta Oleta Dethloff

Decatur~ Cleta Oleta Dethloff, 99, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Decatur.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery in Decatur. Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Rev. Gary Demmitt will officiate. Allen Dethloff will speak.

Pallbearers are to include Rick Slimp, Dwaine Taylor, Jason Taylor, Charles Reynolds, Josh Reynolds, Johnny Paddack, Billy Paddack, Stephen Graybill, Brandon Graybill, Chris Dethloff, Allen Dethloff, Keith Long, Kendall Dethloff, and Kelton Dethloff.

Oleta was born on July 31, 1922 to Clarence Franklin and Lola Oleva (Barrick) North in Decatur, Texas and was a life-long resident of Wise County for all of her 99 years, 7 months, 10 days. She was united in marriage to Martin Leo Dethloff on June 8, 1957 in Weatherford, Texas and together many wonderful years until his passing in 1994. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Carol Edwards Taylor on September 3, 1956; her second husband, Martin Leo Dethloff; her sons, Dennis Taylor, Melvin Lee Dethloff, and Billy Wayne Dethloff; 4 grandchildren and a son-in-law, Rev. Doyle Slimp.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sue Slimp of Decatur; her daughter, Wanda Salinas and husband Tony of Decatur; her daughter, Leta Paddack and husband Dennis Kirby of Springtown;  her daughter, Rosie Lang and husband Robert of Bridgeport, her son, Alvin Dethloff and wife Kelli of Chico; her daughter, Diann Long and husband Terry of Bridgeport; her son, Leon Dethloff and wife Robin of Bridgeport; and her daughter, Lisa Wages and husband Terry of Bridgeport; 29 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren;  26 great-great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-great-grandchildren and 5 more on the way; and numerous extended family members and family friends.
