Clifton Mack "Cliff" Cartmel

Krum~ Clifton Mack “Cliff” Cartmel, 93, of Krum went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Krum.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Pleasant Grove #3. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Friday the funeral home.

Rev. Fred Raney will officiate. His family will be pallbearers.

Clifton was born on December 29, 1927 in Indianola, Oklahoma to Andrew and Julie (Thomas) Cartmel. He and his brother were raised by their grandparents Dow and Lizzie Thomas, from a very young age. Clifton was married to Thelma Pryor for about 30 years. He was self employed and spent his adult life working in the oil fields of West Texas.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; his daughter, Joan Miller; and his brother, Check Cartmel.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Clifton Mack Cartmel, Jr. and wife Maggie of Robinson, Texas and his son-in-law, Tom Miller of Chico; his daughters, Julia Jester of Ash Flat, Arkansas, and Joslon Johnson and husband Steve of Nocona; his ten grandchildren, Daphne Gilbert and husband Tim, Cody Cartmel and wife Sihara, Loretta Yates, Leona Driver and husband Corey, Toma Miller and wife Teresa, Wes Jones, Adam Jones, Buck Jones, Brent Miller and wife Julie, Chaz Miller and wife Stephanie; twenty-two great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
