Cora Mae Walker

Boyd~ Cora Mae Walker, 76, of Boyd and a retired bookkeeper, went to be with our Lord Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Boyd, Texas.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 12-2p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

Cora Mae was born on March 27, 1941 to Delbert Smith Jr and Aline (Johnson) Walker in Red River county, Texas. She was united in marriage to Caroll Don Walker August 12, 1991 in Amarillo, Texas. She has been a resident of Boyd and part of the community for over 30 years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Boyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Scott Nichols; her brother, R.G. Smith; her brother, Delbert Smith; and her sister, Betty Smith.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Don Walker of Boyd; her daughters, Cathy Roberts; and her husband, Eddie of Robert Lee, Texas; her daughters, Lori Nichols of Boyd, and Misty Bridges and husband Pete of Paradise; her son Caroll Wayne Walker of Ft. Worth; her grandchildren, Jordan Nichols, Adrianna Nichols, Sawyer Nichols, Jonathan Bridges, Rebecca Bridges, Zachery Walker and Cameron Walker; her great grandchildren, Kylie Nichols, Emma Huntley and Maverick Nichols; her brother, Jerry Smith of Glen Rose, Tx; her sisters, Pat Bartlett of Ft. Worth and Helen Davis and husband Richard of Ft. Worth; also numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
