Coy Earl Tackett

Bridgeport ~ Coy Earl Tackett, 79, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2024 in Bridgeport.

Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Hawkins funeral home in Bridgeport.

Coy was born on November 5, 1944 to Albert B. and Beulah Inez (Dill) Tackett in Sanger, Texas. He was united in marriage to Glenda Cheryl Watson on September 14, 1963 in Boyd, together they had 3 children. Coy had retired from the plumbing/welding industry to spend time with his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Helen Petty.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years Glenda Cheryl Tackett of Bridgeport; his daughters, Rhonda Dianne Wolfe of Bridgeport, and Glenda Kay Breeze and husband Ronnie of Bridgeport; his son, Coy Glenn Tackett and wife Shelia of Decatur; his grandchildren, Jamie King, Jeff Warner, Russell Warner, Dallas King, Megan Craig, Nikki Wright, Tony Tackett, Shaela Tackett, Charles Chapman, and Keesha Chapman; his 17 great-grandchildren; his sister, Lois Moore of Boyd; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
