Curtis Sidney Gates

Curtis Sidney Gates, 73, of Decatur went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Gibtown Baptist Church with burial at Gibtown Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Curtis was born on July 11, 1947 to Curtis Sidney, Sr. and Christine Doris (Curtis) Gates in Seminole, Texas. He was united in marriage to Linda Sue Robins on January 26, 1973 in Irving, Texas. Curtis was a member of Decatur Church of Christ and was a massage therapist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his granddaughter, Amber Gates.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Gates of Decatur; his sons, Scott Gates and wife Kate of Decatur, and Bryan Gates of Decatur; his daughter Marilyn Belew and her son Alec of Decatur; his granddaughter, Clara Jewel Gates; and his sister, LaVonna Mills and husband John of Decatur; extended family and a host of friends.
