Decatur: Curtis Roy "Buck" Young, Sr., 90, went to be with our Lord, Monday, September 6, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 14th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Drs. Van Gardner and Bill Hughes officiating. Interment: Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 1. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Clay Bramlett, Mike Fink, Gordon Young, Troy Young, Colt Tritt and Shane Young.
Buck was born February 19, 1920 in Fletcher, Oklahoma to Omar and Ema Lona Walker Young. He was a residential and commercial contractor. Buck served in the United State Army Air Force during WWII. He was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Left behind to cherish his memory are two sons, Curtis Roy Young, Jr. of Saginaw and Dennis Ray Young of Blue Mound; three daughters, Carolyn Tritt of Talking Rock, Georgia, Terry DeBo of Saginaw and Kelly Bramlett of Decatur; brother, Vern Lee "Curly" Young of Springtown; and 23 grandchildren.
Buck was preceded in death by four children; Carl Young, Charisse Stevens, Sheila Moss, and Linda Huggins.
