Coronado, California ~ Dan Little, 55, self-employed, went to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in Spring, Texas after a brief illness.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dr. Tom Mosley will officiate.
Dan was born on August 25, 1955 to Charley and Ruth (Ferrier) Little in Henrietta, Texas. He moved with his family at the age of 17 to California where he graduated from Cal Poly State University. Dan worked for Shell Oil Company for 20 years before starting his own business in San Diego. He was a loving father to his sons, Jonathan and Jacob. Dan was the oldest of 5 children. Dan returned to Texas to continue recovering from extensive injuries.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Jonathan and Jacob Little of Coronado, California; his parents, Charley and Ruth Little of Spring, Texas; his sisters, Charla Little of Bakersfield, California, Christy McNinch and husband Andy of Taft, California, and Robin Little of Tomball, Texas; his brother, Mark Little of Spring, Texas; his former wife of 20 years, Jo-Ann Little; his aunts, JoAnn Gregory and husband Marshall of Longview, Texas and Nona Mosley and husband Tom of Dallas; his uncle, Robert (Bob) Ferrier and wife Dody of Bridgeport; his nephews, Zachary and Anthony McNinch of Bakersfield, California; numerous cousins; and a host of friends.
