Rhome: Daniel Bert "D.B." Griffin, 82, went to be with our Lord on July 24, 2009 in Grapevine, Texas.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Woolaver officiating. Interment will follow service in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
D.B. was born March 19, 1927 to Daniel Claude and Cordie Mae (Collins) Griffin in Birthright, Texas. He married Beulah Maxine Thorell on April 5, 1947 in Rhome, Texas. D.B. served in the United States Army during WWII and he retired from the Dallas Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, square dancing and horse racing.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Maxine Griffin of Rhome; two sons, Don Griffin of Richardson, Texas, Gary Griffin and wife, Dorothy of Dallas; two granddaughters, Joanie Griffin of Frisco and Chelsie Griffin of Dallas; sister, Mildred Keith of Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.
