Decatur: Danita Diane Looney Gilliam, 49, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Friday, May 1st at Cottonwood Cemetery with Donald McMaster officiating.
Pallbearers are Bed Henry, Matt Lavender, Jake McMaster, Ty McMaster, David Ellis, Jimmy Looney and Ricky Looney.
Danita was born March 20, 1960 in Lake Worth, Texas to Billy Ray and Margaret Nell (Pate) Looney. She married Dale Edward Gilliam, Jr. on March 20, 1991 in Anchorage, Alaska. Danita was a school teacher at Slidell ISD for 8 years.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Dale Gilliam, Jr. of Decatur; parents, Bill and Nell Looney of Decatur; stepchildren, Dale and Denton Gilliam of Dallas, Dawn Gilliam Keller of Fort Worth; sisters, Joy Henry and Brenda McMaster of Decatur; nephews, Bud, Matt, Jake and Ty; and several great nieces and nephews.
