Danny Mick Stokes

Decatur ~ Danny Mick Stokes, 62, went to be with our Lord Monday, March 7, 2022 in Denton, Texas.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Eagle Drive Baptist Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Chris Thorne will officiate.

Danny was born August 27, 1959 to Oscar “Ott” and Maxine (Jennings) Stokes in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage June 5, 1981 to Susan McBride in Paradise, Texas. Danny worked for the city of Denton for many years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ott and Maxine Stokes.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan Stokes of Decatur; his son, Nick Stokes and wife Michelle and grandchildren, Kole and Easton of McKinney ; his daughter, Kelsey Stokes of Guthrie, Oklahoma; 3 brothers, Donald Stokes and wife Ruth, David Stokes and wife Shelly, and Jay Stokes; his 3 sisters, Carla Waters and husband Bobby, Nelda Mundy and husband Homer, and Karol Liberto; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
