Chico~ Darla Susann Bowyer, 68, went to be with our lord on Thursday September 3, 2020 in Bridgeport.
Memorial Service will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Darla was born on June 12, 1952 to Edd Prince and Minnie (Shores) Beard in Dumas, Texas. She graduated from Chico High School. Darla was a retired administrative assistant and a homemaker who cherished her time raising and spending time with her family. She loved being a loving Meme and Ma to her grandchildren whom she adored the most. Darla was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and dear friend to many. She will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Minnie Beard; 2 brothers, Dale and Eddie; her stepmother, Gladys.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Jerrod Mowery and wife Shanna of Bridgeport, Jeremy Bowyer and wife Sandra of Phoenix Arizona, and Josh Bowyer of Bridgeport; her daughter, Jill Llewellyn of Bridgeport; her son, Josh Smith and wife Monica; her brother, Leon Beard and wife Kathy of Alvarado; her sister-in-law, Jean Beard of Aubrey; her sister, Martha Beard of Alvarado; and her grandchildren, Lauren, Nikki, Yenssi, Aaliyah, Cade, Hailey and Sophia; her numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
