Darlene Walker

Decatur ~ Darlene Walker, 64, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Decatur.

Visitation is 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel Decatur.

Darlene was born on December 16, 1953 to David and Icy (Shrewsberry) Longway in Coolridge, West Virginia. She was united in marriage to Brian Walker July 17, 1996 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Darlene was owner of Cutting Edge Salon where she was a cosmetologist. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her father, David R. Longway; her son, Robert Gerome Eugene Stepp; and her brother, Rickey Lee Cole.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 22 years, Brian Walker of Decatur; her sons, Joseph L. Stepp and wife Terri of North Carolina, Jason G. Stepp and wife Libby of Decatur, Joshua C. Stepp of Decatur, John D. Saylor and wife Brandi of Ohio, Marcus Walker of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her mother, Icy M. Greene of Decatur; her sister, Kay Shepherd of North Carolina; her brothers, Billy and Rusty Cole of Maryland; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
