Darwin Lee White

Alvord ~ Darwin Lee White, 59, went to be with our Lord Sunday, December 11, 2022.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Larry Mader will officiate.

Darwin was born June 16, 1963 to John Franklin, Jr. and Glenda Dawn (Clay) White in Dallas, Texas. He was united in marriage May 23, 1987 to Brenda Ann Wasson in Denton, Texas. Darwin was a facility service clerk at Celanese Chemical Company in Dallas, he worked as a security officer also, and most recently a parts courier for Karl Klement Ford. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. Darwin was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chico and also attended New Hope Fellowship in Chico.

Darwin loved a good joke or prank, he spent time on Facebook writing stories. He was a member of Dallas Trekkers and went on many Volksmarching sanctioned walks. Darwin loved watching John Wayne movies and many other westerns. He met some great buddies from Pigskin Prep, they loved to go to football games and checkout some eating places and the occasional fish fry. Darwin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son-in-law, and friend to many who will dearly miss him.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Brenda Ann White of Alvord; his sons, Brandon Wasson and wife Bianca of Germany, and Bryan White of Alvord; his daughter, Delise (Jake Ann) White of Denton; his foster Mom, Jody Newell Baird and husband Gary of Denton; mother-in-law, Shirley Wasson of Bowie; a grandson, Alaric Wasson of Germany; his brother, John White and wife Julie of Joshua; his sisters, LeAnn Huddleston of Joshua, Melissa White of Minnesota, and her mom Corrine of Arkansas, Vanessa Dunn-Clark and husband Paul of Whitesboro, Honey (Karen) Lopez and husband Popsi of San Antonio, Nancy Millen and husband Greg of Leander, Judy Allen of Whitesboro, and Tiffany Young and husband Rich of Lewisville; 9 nieces; 10 nephews; 9 grand-nieces; 11 grand-nephews, and many other family members and a host of friends.

Memorials can be made at First Financial in Decatur under Darwin White’s name.
