Greenwood ~ Dave Jackson, 60, a owner and operator of Jackson Excavation, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in Dallas, Texas.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday May 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Decatur with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Paul Harris and Rev. Eddie Ramsey will officiate. Pallbearers include Brian Gentry, Jimmy Myers, Calvin Jackson, Jimmy Alexander, Wylie Garner, John Teague, Tex McDorman, Dwayne Hicks, Chuck Greever, Craig Jackson, Bill Moore, and Steve Wernimont.
Dave was born on July 8, 1955 to Loyd and Mable Lee (Rosenburg) Jackson Sr. in Groom, Texas. He was united in marriage to Elaine Mote on April 8, 2006 in Greenwood Texas. Dave was a member of the New Hope Fellowship Church of Greenwood, a part of Christian Motorcyclist Association, Bill Glass Prison Ministry, and Wise County Prison Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Teddy Jackson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Elaine of Greenwood; his daughters, Stephanie Jackson of Alvord and Amy Fogle and husband Michael of Decatur; his sons, Andy Taylor and wife Kim of Paradise and Barry Taylor and wife Meghan of Greenwood; his grandchildren, Mia Fogle, Madyson, Matthew, Mason, Madden, and Layna Taylor; his brother, Loyd Jackson and wife Donna of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
