Decatur: David Drew Fennell, 82, a retired cabinet builder, went to be with our Lord, Monday, January 28, 2013 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31st at Sweetwater Cemetery with Bro. Charles Taylor officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Mr. Fennell was born May 13, 1930 in Decatur to John Henry and Minnie Bertha (Hicks) Fennell. He was united in marriage to Eva Sue Bryan on April 17, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Fennell served in the United States Army and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Sue Fennell of Decatur; two sons, Jim Fennell and wife Jeannie of Canyon Lake, Texas and Bill Fennell and wife Michele of Decatur; daughter, Deb Jones and husband Norman of Weatherford; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
