David Roy Longway

Decatur ~ David Longway, 85, of Decatur, went to be with his Lord Friday, September 16, 2016 in Fort Worth.

David was born on May 1, 1931 to Izra and Inez (Mills) Longway in Yenchang, Honan, China. He was united in marriage to Beatrice Davis in 1993 in Colfax, California. David served in the U.S. Army National Guard and retired after 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and one brother.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Darlene Walker and husband Brian of Decatur, Texas; his brother, Ralph Longway of Washington; his sister, Myrtle Scharffenberg; his grandchildren, Jason, Joe, Joshua Stepp and John Saylor; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
