Decatur ~ David “Shawn” Manning, 58, went to be with our Lord Sunday, June 16, 2019, in Plano.
Memorial visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel Decatur.
Shawn was born on September 12, 1960 to James Olin and Norma Jean (Cheatum) Manning in Laredo. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Packard on May 10, 1999, in Homewood, Alabama. Shawn proudly served and retired after more than 25 years from the United States Air Force. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Manning; his step-mother, Frances Tully Manning.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Charlotte Manning of Decatur; his mother, Norma Jean Manning of Decatur; his sister, Christy Winneshiek of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and a host of in-laws and friends.
