Denton~ David Lenord Smith, 72, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 16, 2017 in Decatur.
Graveside is 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rev. Ronald Brown will officiate. Pallbearers include Brandon Good, Jason Good, David Smith, Mathew Good, William Smith and Michael Smith.
David was born on August 21, 1944 to Travis and Elsie (Smith) Smith in Denton, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughters, Cathryn Mae Smith and Lora Lee Smith.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, David Smith and wife Crystal of Bridgeport; his grandsons, David and Michael Smith of Bridgeport; his great granddaughter, Kady Morgan of Huntsville; his sister, Kathleen Parsons of Denton; other relatives; and a host of friends.
