Dean (Cowan) Carpenter

Paradise ~ Dean Carpenter, 82, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 23, 2019, in Paradise.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant View Baptist Church with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home Bridgeport.

Rev. Gary Dimmitt will officiate. Pallbearers include Gary Green, Grady Cowling, Jeff Davis, Jim Duncan, Leon Wilkerson, and Dennis McMurry.

Dean was born July 26, 1936, to Woody and Myrtle (Robinson) Cowan in Lincoln, Tennessee. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Loyd Carpenter on November 15, 1952, in Bridgeport, Texas. Dean was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Jacky Lynn Carpenter; her brother, Arrie Gilbert Cowan; her sisters, Virginia Williams, Ola B. White, and Roberta Travis.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Bucky Carpenter and wife Eddi of Bridgeport; her daughter, Jennge Flowers of Paradise; her grandsons, Jason Carpenter and wife Loren of Grapevine, Jamey Carpenter of Runaway Bay; her great-grandchildren, Brendan and Maddee; her sisters, Devern Ward of Tennessee, and Birdie Sharp of Tennessee; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
