Paradise: Dean Ferguson, 96, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, January 15th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow service in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Dean was born January 16, 1913 in Wise County to Jesse Lafayette and Lara Rhoda Potts Womack. She retired after 30 years as grocery store owner in Paradise. Dean married Bun "Pete" Ferguson on October 15, 1939 in Love County, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1986. She was a member of First Christian Church in Paradise.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Clara Niblett and husband, Wayne of Paradise; grandchildren, Kevin Niblett of DeSoto, Kristi Force and husband, Guy of Saginaw; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Force; two nieces and one nephew.
