Debbie Lynn (Reid) Bridges

Decatur ~ Deborah Lynn Reid Bridges, 56, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Decatur.

Graveside is 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate.

Debbie was born in Decatur, Texas on August 23, 1959 to Tommie and Dorothy (Cocanougher) Reid.  She was a graduate of Decatur High School and attended Howard Payne University. On August 29, 1987, Debbie married David Bridges, the love of her life. She owned her own beauty salon in Decatur for many years. When Debbie and David were blessed with two beautiful children, she decided to become a full time mother. She was very devoted to her husband and their two children. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the lake and coast. Debbie was a friendly, loving soul who never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Lee Reid.

Survivors are her husband of 28 years, David Bridges of Decatur; children, Alex and Sara Bridges; her mother, Dorothy Cocanougher Reid of Decatur; her sisters, Allee Moulder and husband John of Weatherford, and Darla Albro and husband  Doug of Decatur; her mother-in-law, Xan Bridges of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and niece, Jessica Ward of Gulf Breeze, Florida; her lifelong friends, David and Michelle Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
