Chico ~ Deborah “Debbie” Ann Cowley, 66, a Certified Nurses Aide, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in Bowie.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Chico with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Debbie was born on July 11, 1952 to Wayne and Betty (Robeson) Holley in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage to Ed Cowley on December 22, 1995 in Chico. Debbie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chico.
Debbie loved to travel with her family and her sister of the heart, Tammy Cox and her granddaughter, Cora Lynn Shores. Her husband, Ed would just mention traveling somewhere and she was in the car ready to go. From the mountains of Colorado to the shores of Galveston, Florida and beyond. She had an amazing time in New Orleans, Louisiana and Biloxi, Mississippi. Debbie was also content with throwing a log on a campfire and a fishing pole in the water waiting on a fish to nibble.
Debbie had a gift for caring for the elderly who suffered from Alzheimers. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide on the Alzheimer unit at Senior Care and Trinity. Debbie also worked with the elderly at Stagecoach. She loved them all but the Alzheimer patients were her passion.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 22 years, Ed Cowley of Chico; her daughter, Stacy Ann Wilson and husband Bill of Apple Valley, California; her son, Travis Melton of Chico; her sister-in-law, Tammy Sosa and husband Darren of Chico; her grandchildren, Brittany Ann Wilson and twins, Alex Wilson and Zach Wilson; her daughter-in-law, Ashley Smith and son Joseph Siebert; numerous cousins, and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made in honor of Debbie to the Wise County Historical Society.
