Delois Ann (Goodger) Ivy

Decatur ~ Delois Ann Ivy, 77, went to be with her Lord Thursday, March 6, 2014 in her hometown of Decatur.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. Reverend Ken May of the First Baptist Church in Decatur will be officiating. Family will receive friends from  4 - 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Rick Ivy, Richard Garrison, Brandt Wicker, Ashley Brown, Mike Johnson, and Chuck Holloway.

Delois was born May 6, 1936 to Ira and Floe (Walker) Goodger in Decatur, Texas.  She married Richard Ivy on October 5, 1955 in Weatherford, Texas. She worked for Dr. Ben Merritt and at the Wise County Medical Center for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband, Richard Ivy of Decatur; 2 daughters, Sherry Ivy of Fort Worth and DeLona Garrison and husband Richard of Decatur; her son, Rick Ivy and wife Shelby of Ponder; 3 granddaughters, Curren Wicker and husband Brandt of Decatur, Ryan Brown and husband Ashley of Decatur, and Whitney Brown of McHenry, Illinois; 6 great grandchildren, Cami, Carson, Caylen, Kynlie, Kampbell, and Kortlen; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
