Deloris M. Ramirez

Bridgeport~ Deloris M. Ramirez, 81, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Bridgeport.

Funeral Service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Mexican Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Michael Ramirez will officiate. Pallbearers are to include Earnest Herrera, Chris Martinez, David Jackson, Jeff Silletti, Ray Franks, Julio Oretega, Michael Harrison, and Robert Vidal. Honorary Pallbearers are to be her Grandchildren.

Deloris was born on April 26, 1939 to Liandro and Effie (Dabila) Martinez in Bridgeport, Texas. Deloris worked in the cafeteria in Bridgeport Schools for many years as a cooked and also worked at Sagebrush. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Johnny Martinez, two grandchildren, Robbin Martinez and Everson Dunn; two great-grandchildren, Lane Marshall and Michael Stokes, her brothers, Bennie Martinez, Manuel Martinez, Freddie Martinez, Jessie Martinez; her sisters, Bruna Lopez, Anselma Ramirez, Juana Padron, Millie Nuncio, and Frances Huerta.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Julian Ramirez of Bridgeport; her children, Raymond Martinez and Sue Shawn of Decatur; Julian Ramirez Jr. and wife Julia of Bridgeport, Reba Dunn and husband Dickie of Bridgeport, Miguel Ramirez of Bridgeport, Maria Marshall and husband Eugene of Bridgeport, Donna Morales and husband Calvin of Chico, Paul Ramirez and wife Norma of Caddo, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren, her brother, Joe “My Brother” Martinez and wife Ofelia of Bridgeport; her sisters, Connie Silletti, Lupe Silletti and husband Tony, Terry Romero, and Rosemary Osteguin and husband Victor; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
