Dennis V. Walton

Azle ~ Dennis V. Walton, 94, a retired mechanic with Bell Helicopter, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 1, 2018 in Azle.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Azle Church of Christ with burial in Azleland Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Brother Ian Mostert will officiate. Pallbearers include Tom Scarborough, Monte Moore, Mike Cooper, Andy Walton, Cody Walton, and Brad Walton.
Dennis was born on February 14, 1923 to Jesse and Florence (Gilbert) Walton in Falls County, Texas. He was united in marriage to Helen Corene Moore on June 22, 1946 in Waco. Dennis proudly served our country in the United States Army Air Corp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his grandson, J.B.; his daughter-in-law, Kathy; and his sister, Opal Spivey.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Jim Walton and wife Candy of Azle, Donald Walton of Reno, Wayne Walton and wife Cindy of Colleyville, his daughter, Janis Sonntag and husband Michael of Azle; his grandchildren, Cheyanne, Andy, Cody, Brad, Justin, Spencer, Kristina, and Larry; his 13 great grandchildren; extended family and a host of friends.
