PARADISE -- Dewey "Red" Allison, 87, a retired assistant lake superintendant at Lake Bridgeport, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 in Garland. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Paradise Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Allison was born July 24, 1919 in Paradise, TX to Walter and Ella McBride Allison. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a WWII Veteran and a Deacon in the Baptist Church. Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his wife, Doris and brothers, Thurman and Gerald Allison. Survivors: Daughters, Jan Gentzel and husband, Sonny of Dallas and Dianne Morris of Garland; son, Tom Allison of Sanger; six grandchildren, Trevor, Shane, Bryan, Kiri, Zela and Amy; four great-grandchildren,; brother, Robert Allison; and sisters, Thelma Ray and Dorothy Rainwater.
