Dewey Lee Worthington

Jacksboro ~ Dewey Lee Worthington, 61, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Dallas.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Wizard Wells in Jacksboro. Family will receive friends 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Eugene Weldon will officiate.

Dewey was born on January 29, 1960 to Delano and Patsy Ruth (Odell) Worthington in Jacksboro. He attended Jacksboro High School. Dewey loved the outdoors, and then became his hearts-desire, a rancher.  Dewey was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Doug Worthington.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving companion, Paula of Runaway Bay; his mother, Patsy Ruth Worthington of Wizard Wells; his daughter, Sheena Worthington of Wichita Falls; 2 special grandchildren, Willie Burdine, and Weston Worthington; his brothers, Doyle Worthington and Delano “Yank” Worthington both of Wizard Wells; his sisters Deleise Worthington Marsh and husband Shane of San Angelo, and Darla Worthington Fletcher and husband Stacy of Lamesa; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of good friends.
