Boyd----Dillard Lee Hatley, 84, a retired bricklayer, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in Boyd.
Graveside Service: 2 PM Friday, July 20, 2007 at Boyd Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 Thursday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Darryl Hatley. Honorary Pallbearers will be: R.J. Hays, John Hatley, Joshua Hays, Larry McCormick, Ken Christian, Heath Roe, Jason Hays, and Keith Hulsey.
Dillard was born May 19, 1923 in Boyd, Texas to John Riley and Lizzie (North) Hatley. Dillard served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wilma Lee (Lankford) Hatley, and his sister, Mildred Vess.
Dillard is survived by: 5 Daughters: Judy Greer, Linda Carson of Lawton, Oklahoma, Nancy Hays of Boyd, Melissa Hays of Boyd, Anita Hays of Boyd; 5 Sons: David Hatley of Boyd, Alvin Hatley of Boyd, Buddy Hatley of Azle, Tim Hatley of Boyd, and Robert Hatley and wife Martha of Boyd; 24 Grandchildren; 29 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers, Willie and Darryl Hatley; 1 sister, Faye Burchfield.
