Dixie Pinkerton Parks, 81, of Decatur went to be with her Lord Sunday, January 26, 2025 in Denton.
Memorial visitation is 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2025 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at a later date in Green Acres Cemetery in Cleburne, Tx.
Dixie was born October 12, 1943 to Sam & Basell (Mills) Pinkerton in Midlothian, Texas. She was united in marriage in 1980 to Lorenzo Gene Parks. Dixie graduated Godley High School and was a member of Decatur Methodist Church. She was a retired hair dresser. Dixie was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, all will miss her deeply.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Amberly Johnson and husband Asa Jr. of Decatur; 2 grandchildren, Jordan White and husband Trent of Decatur, and Asa (A.J.) Johnson III and fiancé Shelby Fadden of Decatur; her great-granddaughter, due in June; her sister, Betty Jernigan of Arlington; her brother, Bobby Pinkerton and wife Janie of Alvarado; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
