Don Alden Dozier

DECATUR : Don A. Dozier, 80, a self-employed steel salesman, went to be with our Lord Friday, March 12, 2010 in Arlington.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home, Bridgeport. Interment: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home, Bridgeport.

Rev. Kenneth Wood to officiate. Pallbearers: Sam Sasser, Steve Sasser, Brian Moore, Eric Cox, Van Cox and Chris Cox. Honorary pallbearers: Jose Cortes, Joe Lopez and Ben Lopez.

Don was born June 5, 1929 to John D. and Mabel Carlton Dozier in Treece, Kansas. He married Jane Scott, June 22, 1997 in Decatur. He was also a member of the New Hope Fellowship in Chico and graduated Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a Bachelors in Business.

Don was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Billie Merritt, his brother James and his sister Ethel.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Jane Dozier of Decatur. Sister: Betty McNabb of Ft. Collins, Colorado. Step-children: Sam Sasser and wife Myra of Paradise, Steve Sasser of Watauga, Susan Moore and husband Brian of Haslet and Sandy Boyle of Keller. 10 Grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
